Marek Kopča graduated in Philosophy at Comenius University in Bratislava. He began his career in the world of online marketing and e-commerce in 2003, starting out as a website content manager for Markiza.sk. Following that he became a contractor within an IT and web development consultancy company, Comsultia. In addition to this he worked in leading advertising agency, Istropolitana D Arcy (now Istropolitana Ogilvy). Marek currently works at Union Insurance Company (and Union Health Insurance) as a director of direct marketing and electronic services; he has been with the company since 2008. He is responsible for driving and maintaining the sales strategy for all insurance products via the Internet and mobile devices; Marek is also tasked with the development of websites, applications and various other marketing activities (online, mobile, social networks, affiliate etc.). Additionally, as project manager, he manages all the e-commerce activities for Union Insurance within the Czech market, since 2010.
